Two educational fun-filled music courses for all string players aged 7-12.

Workshops run from 10am-3pm, with optional wrap around child care 9am-5pm. 

Each day will comprise of 2 string sessions, rhythm and singing workshops.

Required standard: Prep Test to Grade 5.

Each Day

We start the day with a singing workshop, with call and response games and rounds. Children will learn songs from a range of genres. After morning break, the first of the two daily string sessions takes place where pupils will practise sight-reading, rhythm games and  exercises to improve sound and tone, all while  learning group pieces for the end of week concert. A 45 minute lunch break leads into a team building percussion workshop, learning fun rhythms and riffs. The day finishes after the second string session which will work on material from session one.

Concert

On the final day, the children will perform for friends and family in a concert. They will be able to show you what new skills they have learnt over the week.              

 

Refreshments

Each child should bring a packed lunch and a water bottle every day. Please inform us of any allergies or intolerances in advance.
